I have a basic question, I have GBPVR v0.95.16

I notice in TAB PLAYBACK theirs a setting that says "number of servers to auto start", i have set this to "2".

Saved and restarted, i know SUB has said this is all now in the GBPVR SERVICE. When i restart the PC it looks the same, in an older version i saw a link called "GB PVR MediaMVP server" and when run this HAD to be running for the MVP to work.

Does this no longer need to run on the version i have (latest?)

I still have the shortcuts from updating....

Also when running more than one MVP if i disconnect both then assuming they are given the same IP address on power up will the desktops (menus) be as they was left on each (same goes i spose if a video was in pause and you repowered it)?

Many Thanks
Ashley

The recording service starts and manages an instances of the servers it needs to run. The recording service starts these instance before the desktop is started. Unfortunately when desktop is started these windows become can become visible for some people. They are normal hidden.

If you want to not see them, you can go in the control panel and set the service 'interact with desktop' setting to disabled.

No, each time you disconnect the process is restarted, in effect returning it to the main menu (and getting rid of any crap that may have been hanging around in the process).

I have Service set to "interact with desktop" already, can i assume these windows are one for each and will only appear when there is an MVP actually plugged in and runing so if there is one window open then theres only one working?

It makes sence if the window is closed then no data will be held either (assuming the above is correct).

Many Thanks

I'm saying to disable this setting.

If you're seeing them, you'll only see them immediately after the PC is started. You can close them if you like, and they will be restarted in their correctly hidden state. They'll also disappear if you press the green power button on the MVP remote. You shouldnt see them again until next reboot.

I see, i like to see things, i know they are working then. I have no windows at the moment, but then still working on the MVP, will report back if i get a problem.

Many Thanks
