Out of the blue (first time was just this evening) I started receiving the following error when my EPG was being automatically updated:

Failure in ChannelFactory:ConfusedtoreChannels():No current record.

I'm using Zap2it in the USA. I did notice that I now have a weird channel showing up in my EPG in the Config app -- A&E Network is listed three times, all saying the channel is 48, but the source channel is like 107, 208, etc. I don't know what this means.

I haven't edited my configuration in weeks (if not months), and definitely haven't messed with the Zap2it stuff.

My current recordings are still working, but I cannot view the TV Guide in GBPVR, I get a windowed error message that says:

"No channels have been set up. Please run ghe Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use teh 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information."

My EPG source looks fine, and there's even a list of channels on on all 3 tuners in the Config app.

Any ideas? Are there any logs I should post?
Chris

insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

Can you manually 'update epg' then zip and attach your config.exe.log?

Frickin' frackin' fruckin' friggin'! I hate it when something just has to remain as an unknown error.

I "oops'ed" when I attempted to do a manual EPG update by not watching what I was doing and clicking the button right next to it for clearing out the channel line-up. Yeah, I know.

Anyway, it turns out that I was getting the original error three times -- for each of the three tuners I have installed. I only noticed this because when I wiped out the channels for one of the tuners and then did the update, I only received the error message twice instead of three times. However, there were no errors in the config.exe.log(?!), which I thought was weird since I received to error message windows. I then closed out GBPVR (everything), ran config again and did a manual EPG update. No error message windows and nothing in the config.exe.log. All of my scheduled recordings are gone, of course, but it's not a big deal to put those back in. I can also access the TV Guide without an issue.

Question: Since I have three tuners, is the EPG Update actually running three times or do the three tuners "share" one EPG Update. I know that when running the XMLTV plugin, the three tuners would just share the guide.xml file, but this doesn't seem so obvious with using the Zap2It option.

It'll run three separate times. Its easier this way, rather than having to worry about about different channel lineups on different tuners etc.

Each tuner as an EPG plugin, an that EPG plugin gets a chance to run, and it does so entirely independent of any other EPGs configured in the system.

So the EPG should be the same across all three tuners (and the TV Guide option of GB-PVR), right? Any changes you make to one tuner's channel lineup wouldn't affect the EPG it receives, would it? That tuner just wouldn't record anything from the missing channel, and GBPVR would instead move on to another tuner to record from that channel.

Or would it be better if you needed different channel lineups (for whatever reason) that you have more than one Zap2it account and edit the channel lineup on Zap2it instead?

Correct.

It depends how different you want them to be. If you're only talking a channel or two, its probably easier to just disable the channel at the GB-PVR end. Otherwise, I'd recommend going the multiple zap2it account approach.
