A set of classes that allow plugins to create and manage user interface elements such as menus, command buttons, file lists and labels.

For more info and a selection of downloads (including documentation and an example plugin), see the wiki entry.

Support thread here. As always - questions, comments and suggestions welcome Smile .

I've been following this topic for a while now and think it's a brilliant idea, hopefully it will also make skin making more standardised.

Anyway, now for a very detailed comment. I was doing some testing and was having a play with the example you so kindly provide, particularly the filelist class. I couldn't get it to go into the "if" statement on line 588. It always said that listExample.result is undefined. What button is the one that makes the result defined as true?
Also, the green button seems to turn the text of a file name to a green font. Is this intentional? Have you assumed some functionality for some keys?

Added a skin pack to the Wiki. Demonstrates how the elements could look under different skins.

Skinners : If you want to edit these skins to so they 'fit in better' with your skin style feel free. Send them to me and Ill see the wiki gets updated with your designs.

I've started to add some 'Element Summaries' to the wiki entry. Take a read and let me know if they make sense or not. Thanks Smile

New version now available on the wiki.

Changes include:
  • Fixed problems with the Clear() method on some elements.
  • Removed the WideButtonList element (as the same effect can can be done by supplying alternative images)
  • Made the FileList element more generic.
  • Changed the buttons used for the FileList. Key_Right is used now used to navigate a folder/up one level (...), enter selects an item (same as the other elements).
  • All list type elements (except for the ButtonList element) now support multiple selections (as suggested by bgowland). This is set through the AllowMultipleSelections property.
  • Added ''Element Summaries'' to the Wiki entry - hopefully this will act as a starting point for understanding the elements and their use.
  • Added standard properties Result, Results and Selected to the list elements.
