I'd been struggling with problems recently regarding the PC falling back into standby after waking for a recording, and also the recording service not restarting after running the config app. WAF was falling fast. I'm pretty sure I've resolved it and thought I'd share my SPT (stupid pvr trick).
I primarily use an MVP but recently fiddled with getting the remote to work with the PC, which I did. I think I set my capture source to use the "HOP HOG" IR blaster during that process (which I don't actually use). Well, after scanning many log files and noticing long time delays when changing the channel with the blaster, the light went on, and I realized where to look. After changing back to "no channel changer required" my troubles are (hopefully) gone.
This is the support forum right? Hi...my name is Roy...and I love GBPVR.
