I can't seem to get rid of channels I want to remove from the Channels tab of the config app. I can remove them from the Channels list on the Edit Recording Source window from the Capture Sources tab, but they stubbornly persist on the Channels tab. I'm configuring ExternalRecorder and Direct Recording capture sources and sometimes screw up and need to remove channels I've defined. Does anybody know how to do this?

I also notice that the Channels tab allows duplicate channel numbers (I'm trying to reuse channel numbers for the channels I screwed up) which seems a bit problematic.

I don;t believe that there is currently any way to clean up these entries, you're kind of stuck with them.

yes duplicating numbers can easily be done and really screws up the epg!

Hm, should be easy to remove it from the gbpvr.mdb if You own MS Access...

...but make a backup before!

Pity it's not MySQL - then we could write a CleanChannels utility to eliminate duplicates and remove garbage channels. Actually I do have a copy of Access somewhere. Maybe use .Net's OLE DB thingy to write a utility. Hmmm!

It does seem like a fairly major omission from the GBPVR master plan. Like the old "Roach Motel" ad - you can check channels in, but you can't check them out.

The master channel list is a combined list of the channels in your database. They come from the channels listed in your capture sources, and channels you used to have in a capture source and still have recordings associated with.

In my case, I have no recordings associated with the channels. They are simply channels that I created for different ExternalCapture sources while testing the UbuStreamCmd utility for GBPVR. I never even used some of them. But when I delete them from the Edit Recording Source channel list they still show up as being in the master list in the database. (Tried closing and reopening the config program in case GBPVR needed to re-parse the channels but still no luck). Would they disappear if I deleted the capture source that used to contain the channels?
