Hi,

Im hoping someone here can help me get my remote working with GB-PVR.

I have the HAUPPAUGE A415-HPG remote with a PVR-350 card. I just installed the most recent gbpvr msi and everything is working great! Smile except the remote. Sad

I am new to this and am sure its something dum that i have failed to set up. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Smile

alas that did not fix it. Im wondering if the remote isnt supported? In the config interface it lists to Hauppauge remote types.. one with 34 buttons and one with 48 i think? The one i have is black and silver and has 43 buttons i believe.

I tried copying and pasting the info from the help site into the Irremote.ini file. That didnt seem to work either. The only other guess i have right now is that the batteries that came with the remote may be dead.

Here is what i added into the Irremote.ini file

The model number means nothing to me, and not visible on any of my remotes, but I'm assuming its the standard 45 button remote that is shipped with most of the retail version of their cards these days. Note that vol+/- and chan+/- are two buttons each, so your 43 button count is probably the 45 button remote.

This remote is supported. I can only guess if it its not working for you, then there is probably something wrong with either your remote or hauppauge IR software. GB-PVR is not actually aware the user is using a remote control. To GB-PVR it just looks like the user is typing at a keyboard. Behind the scene the Hauppauge software is generating fake keystrokes in response to buttons being press on the remote. In you case it sounds like the Hauppauge software isnt doing this for some reason.

All you should have to do to get this remote to work with GB-PVR is click the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button in the config app, then restart the Hauppauge IR software.

Also make sure you have enabled the 'Use direct access to hauppauge remote' setting, which is only for PVR250/350 owners.

Well its all working now beautifully.... I really hate to admit what the problem was because it will make me the fool. Smile I did not have the IR cable plugged into the back of my PVR-350 card.... *cough*....

My only excuse is that i have never set one of these up before. Smile Thanks again for all your assistance.
