I am trying to get my GBPVR to work on my new computer which runs MS Media Center Operating System. It seems to get hung up on the "Loading Application..." step. Has anyone out there gotten this to work?

If I remember right, someone just posed this question about a day ago and it was told to them it works fine..also if you do a MCE search there are a few posts about it and what people have had to do or not do in order to get it working. I used to run MCE 2k5 and it worked just fine for me, did cause some stuff to crash that MCE was using so I decided to just go to a normal XP Pro load and have been happy ever since.

What do I lose by stopping those services? Will that disable something else that I might need?

I finally figured out my problem. It turns out that it was being blocked by my TrendMicro Firewall that came installed on my PC. I turned it off and it now works.

I assumed it wouldn't, so I made a dual boot system, one for GBPVR and one for MCE2005.
So I didn't need to do that Sad

cheers, arttext

I use MCE2005 and did not have to do ANYTHING to run GBPVR. I eventually went in and turned off the MCE services just to keep extra junk from running but it worked fine with the services running.
