Hi all
I was after a complete simple guide to get this working.

I have tried and been reading the forum for answers.

The problem im getting is:
I cannot get it to see any channels using gbpvr.

in fact i have spent days trying and its hopeless.
Software might be free but it should be friendly and work without to much fuss to attract donations.

If there are answers. Could you please also include how to do the fixes.
My Rigs spec:
Win XP Pro SP2
Intel 3.2 dual core HT EE
2gb Ram PC2-6400
X850XT PE

Does the supplied hauppage software find any channels ?

Have you run the supplied MuxChecker util to check for installed multiplex filters ?

Don't think you need to worry about mux chcker as I se your using XP ProSP2. Have you added the tuner in the config program correctly?

Yeh true. but I know some software un-registers the MS mux, not sure if it re-instates it if you then un-install or if it or leaves its own one behind.

When adding a capture source you should select "BDA Recording Plugin" as the recording source, then in the settings for that select your device as "Hauppage Nova-T 90002" and leave the device number as "1".

Under country select the area of the UK you are in then under that select the transmitter you're receiving from.

Select whatever EPG source you're going to use, I found the DVB EPG broadcast a bit ropey, and took ages, though ymmv.

Then hit "Map digital channels to EPG channels", rescan, you should get a list of the channels found during the scan with a small preview of the channel above it. Then select & match up the channels to the EPG data.

You need to go into the capture sources section of the config program and click 'add'. Then from 'recording source' select 'bda recording plugin'. Click 'settings' to the right of that and select your 'card type'. You can also enter your country and transmitter details here too if you know then. It should now scan for the channels available. When finished you have to decide whether to use the epg (Electronic Programme Guide) from the tv signal (EPG DVB Broadcast) or whether to use xmltv (which is another whole subject in itself!) as the 'DVB source' below.. Try using the EPG DVB Broadcast for now and then click 'update EPG'. When this has all finished try running the GBPVR program again and see what happens!

Good luck!

If the latest hauppauge software works fine then that sounds like you do not have BDA drivers installed!!! Hauppauge's own software will not work with BDA drivers.
