Help! With remote and KeyMappings

I currently have a remote that sends keycodes, and all seem to work and I can remap gbpvr kays *except* the <control> {number} keys. For example if I use ShowKey.exe and press the remote keys i want to map, it'll display ^D7 or ^D5. In the TVGuide.xml I supply that for the GUIDE_PAGE_BACK or GUIDE_DAY_BACK commands. I've tried both ^D5/^D7 and ^5/^7 to no avail. Doesn't seem to work from the keyboard either.

Any suggestions?

Other than that ... GREAT application. I purchased a set top box form-factor PC to create a custom (gb)pvr box. I'm anxious to get started on some ideas I have for plug-ins also.

Even <CTRL> + number keys? They show differently using ShowKey.exe?
I can understand that the number keys alone should no be remapped.
When I look at the logs for that session it shows an unmapped keypress for ^controlkey ... which seems to indicate that if the control key was pressed first (during a control + key sequence), thats all it sees?

Please advise?

If I have to I'll seek another remote setup, but I'm bummed because the set top PC that I purchased comes with an IR keyboard and remote, the remote of which send key codes ... and I can't change what it sends.

Even with the ctrl key modifier, you wont be able to map the number keys.
