Hi since the new upgrade (I do like it(the features not the freezing)) I have a tendency to freeze up particularly when I'm skipping and the only way out is CTRL ALT DELETE and ending gb-pvr on a bright note it doesn't seem to effect the recording it's just the movie hangs, happens alot sometimes out of the blue but seems to happen more when I'm skipping around avioding commercials. Okies would post the logs but I dun have a clue how, and I dunno what logs and where (I build computers and fix em, but to windows and programs :o I only got one solution (reinstall LOL) tell me where I can find the logs and I'll send em. Bet you I can reproduce this flaw like in ten to 15 minutes if I know what logs I'm looking for Big Grin

The log files (*.log) live here: c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr. Zip these up.

When you post you will find at the bottom an option to attach files. Use this.

I noticed your logs shows you playing AVI files and MPG files. What type of files freeze?

If you can spot a pattern, it'll make it easier to diagnose the fault.

Mpg files when it freezes, also since the upgrade having problems with avi files not playing unless the mpg time code is perfect Sad thank g_d I'm not deleting the original files automatically. just crashed twice more (well froze) but my recordings are seperate thank g_d.
I just uploaded the updated logs, BTW when I upgraded I backed uyp those files but I never did anything with them, and my older recordings justshow up in the video library now
(yes my gb-pvr recording folder is also named as a video folder for that purpose)
anyway

I installed GBPVR on my wifes laptop to watch stuff recorded on my desktop and streamed to her over the wireless network. Figured skipping the comercials worth it. Anyway it locks up a few minutes into the video. I tried moving the file to her drive and watching it locally and it still froze. I installed at work on a Win2k machine and watch from a portable hard drive with no probs. Here are my logs. Thanx.

I would try temporarily uninstalling AC3 Filter to see if helps. This has caused lockups for some users in the past.
