I dont know. I've never used Girder. Maybe. HIP is a free equivalent that might also work.

I use Girder to handle the input commands from my Hauppauge remote via a USB-UIRT.

HIP works for me with a Mocrosoft MCE2005 IR blaster. It's a bit confusing how to set it up but there's a step-by-step in the wiki. It's free, while girder will cost you about $50 last I looked.

Sub...any ideas why the MCE2005 IR plug-in doesn't seem to work? With the new GB-PVR release it learns OK now but won't send any channel commands. I'd rather use it if I can.

I dont know. I've totally put this on the back burner since free equivalents like HIP appeared. Its a complex area, and these guys have much more time that they can focus on this one area.

OK, that sounds reasonable. It's certainly not a show stopper, at least not for me. Maybe when you don't have anythng else to look at you can take a look... Big Grin

I have the feeling nothing other than MCE2004 is able to use the MCE2004 IR Blaster.

Microsoft never released any info on how to use it.
