After applying the patch the MVP reboot I have encoutered during music play back and internet radio seems to have dissappeared. Now it behaves great!
Good work!
Quote:I would like to see more logs. The couple of logs that have been posted here so far havnt given me what I'm looking for.
Sorry sub, I know I was the original poster and have not even posted the logs, it is not because I haven't bothered, but our two toddlers got almost 40 fever over the w/e so it was a bit of "cannot" .
The first time it happened I forgot to copy the logs immediately after it happened and I looked at the time stamps of the older 1,2,3 logs and it had gone past the time it had failed, so they would be no use to you. I watched TV (recorded prog.) last night for the first time since the first occurence, and it happened again, so I quickly snaffled/zipped the logs.
I haven't tried the patch, but do you still need more logs? (When I get home tonight, approx.10 hrs from now )

I also have been seeing MVP disconnects since 96.12 watching recordings. Also been noticing that it takes ~1 min to reconnect or to connect at soft power on of the MVP.
I just installed the patch and noticed that connection took the normal ~5 secs the first time after restarting the service, but after soft power off/on the MVP again took ~1 min to reconnect.
I've reproduced this. Logs attached.
Hope Release 2.0, 1.0 and both programmers are well!
What, me worry?

That can be fairly normal, and I'm not concerned about it. It can take a while before we can detect the MVP has dropped the connection (TCP/IP, Windows, .net reasons...).
Its much quicker at detecting this when you're using the GBMVP.BIN dongle, which is what is important to me. dongle.bin will eventually become a dead end.
I've tested the new 96.12 patch, and it fix my reboots with dongle.bin, but gbmvp still reboots when I enter a submenu or browsing around in the RSS reader. There is no trace of the reoobts in the logfiles ;-(
