Audio/Video Sync Help! Please!

Hi,

I've been using GBPVR for a few months now on a hauppage pvr-500 now. In live TV mode, the audio and video just are not synching. I'm in live preview mode with no filters on, with filters on, no difference. I can't take it anymore, I'm going insane...it's hard to watch t.v. like this, and this is the only setup i have :'(

I'm so dissapointed in the purchase of my pvr-500...I wish I had gotten something simpler, because i've had nothing but problems since getting it. I've even tried commercial software, to no avail.

I'm really at my witts end (And I'm a techy for goodness sakes!). Please help me!

AMD XP 2500+
1 GIG DDR RAM, 2gig swap
PVR-500
BFG Geforce 6600GT OC
1 WD 250gig HD
1 WD 80 gig HD

View live tv, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

If it helps, it seems to get worse as time goes by. Once I click 'live tv' it's ok. 5-10 minutes into watching it gets bad.

What is your deinterlacing setting set to?

It doesnt make a difference what i set it to. ffdshow, encoder pass through or Alpraysoft...

Are you absolutely positive? The PVR150/500 devices are known to get out of sync when you're using any option other than 'encoder pass-through'.

If anything I'd say I've had better luck with it on None :\

I would suggest trying 'encoder pass-through', and try a variety of audio/video decoders to see if it makes any difference. 'None' starts out in sync but slowly drifts out with the PVR150/500.

Other than that, maybe try different versions of the Hauppauge drivers, or if possibly with a different machine/motherboard.
