From your log
Quote:3/12/2006 9:11:25 PM.472 VERBOSE [12] getValue() loading new key/value into cache: /settings/BDAMultiplexer

Well, I used cyberlink in my config on the misc tab. That is why I mentioned it in my previous post. Where in the config file can I change that, since apparently it is not using what I specifiy using the config application.

It is set inside the config app, but I'm guessing you made some mistake (like the recording log was from before you changed the setting).

Double check the setting and try again, then repost the logs and I'll take another look.

Hello,
First - Thanks , Sub , for this great software!

I have encountered the same problem as above - In general I have never been able to get dvr-ms converted in gbpvr.

I have recorded a sample video (10sec). When transcoded to Xvid it hangs after 1 second. I have also provided the intermediate tmp video file (1 second long).

When I try to transcode a mpg file to Xvid it works.

I have provided all the logs, config and both video files here:
http://swingthatmusic.se/tmp/

any idea?

Sub,
The settings and logs are accurate, I have tried it again with the same results. Attached is a screenshot from my config. I have also sent an email to support@devnz.com with a link to my sample dvr-ms file. Give it a try with gbpvrconvert.exe and see what you get. Thanks.

Sub,
I think there is a bug in the application. The version of the cyberlink mux is not really relevant, because it was never used. I changed the mux setting to other options, which I do not have, and it still recorded dvr-ms. It must be hardcoded somewhere and cannot be changed by the config application.

Can you post the output of muxchecker on your machine?

This was the muxchecker readout at the time (yesterday) for the rest of the stuff I posted:
Quote:GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files\PDMpgMux.ax
VERSION: 3.5.0328

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Program Files\Cyberlink\PowerCinema\Capture\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 3.5.0117

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0727

After advice from you in another thread yesterday Ive now reduced the set to:
Quote:GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0727

I now see the "light", hurray!:
- After this action I'm now able to record straight into .mpg (instead of dvr-ms).
- Im also able to gbpvr "transcode" straight from dvr-ms to Xvid
- must have been old mux sw....

Only one issue left now:
when playing thew resulting trancoded Xvid (or DivX) the CPU load is very high (100%).
I have played other Xvid movie files and they load the CPU to about 40%
I have tried to reduce encoding bitrate to 1000 b/s - no change
Any tips?

From the muxchecker program, I have only ONE Cyberlink entry and its

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0727

When I choose Cyberlink in the config it still records the program in dvr-ms. Logs indicate its using the Microsoft muxer even when cyberlink is chosen in the config.

TClarsson: How did you finally get the config to use the cyberlink muxer.

Does any of this have to do with that my signal is ATSC OTA? Maybe it defaults back to the dvr-ms muxer because cyberlink can't handle the digital feed??? I have no idea.

Can you try the attached patch to see if it helps?
