I have noticed if I have had the PVR-pc running for 3-4 days without rebooting , the menus slow to a crawl ( 45 seconds to get into recordings and then 30-40 seconds to be able to select a recording and when I can finally select a recording to watch I get the pop up saying "error:too many active users" A reboot usually fixes this. 2 questions : 1. is there something I can do to fix this or 2. is there a way to schedule a reboot in the middle of the night?

Thanks

What plugins are you using?

You shount have to reboot or restart anything. I leave my lounge PC running for longs periods (weeks) without restarting.

Can you post some logs from when the machine is performing this way?

The only plugin I am using is Weather. I should mention this has only started in the past 10 days and has happened 3 times now. Nothing has changed with the system in that time. Here is todays log that shows the error.

Thanks

One thing that has changed that I forgot about was I finally got all of my channels audio working with help from Jegen at Hauppage. They sent me new drivers that initially didn't work but then he sent me 2 reg patches and a new .sys file that fixed the problem. Problem was no audio on channels 14-21.

It looks like some shit itself with the database connectivity. I dont what exactly. I havnt seen the error before.

Do you use the web admin?

I don't use web admin. I control the PVR from my main PC using realVNC whenever I need to fix something , otherwise I only use the remote for everything else.

So is that a .net error , windows error or a gbpvr error? Just wondering so I can try to figure out how and when it happens and determine if I am doing something to cause it.

Could it be that when you connect with VNC you are seen as essentially connecting multiple times (either because it's not seeing you disconnect or some other problem) so it basically runs multiple instances of GBPVR thus slowing it down and explaining why the "too many users" and why a restart fixes it? Just a guess.

Its not a GB-PVR error. I was wondering if it was too many connections to the database, which is why I asked about the web admin (WIndows/OleDB/ODBC error). I dont really know though.
