Hi there,
I've been running GBPVR in my main system for some time now. It works great.

However I recently built a dedicated media system and moved my tuner over to the new machine.

Everything on the new machine is set up in the same way as the old one. I'm using a Freecom USB Stick with the Yakumo drivers and Showshifter mux.

The install went fine, and GBPVR detected the tuner as normal.

Unfortunately I cannot add any channels. Config.exe crashes with a generic Windows error (Config.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close... sorry for the unhelpful error message... etc) whenever I try to use the channel mapping tool.

It gets to around channel 25, then I can hear music playing for a few seconds but no video appears, then it crashes. Just before everything locks up, I can see the full channel list appear on the right hand side.

I've had a look through the logs but couldn't find any obvious errors. I'm not sure what to look for anyway.

Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I've attached all of the logs that were in the GBPVR directory.

Many thanks for your help Sub.

Set you logging level to 'debug' then try again, then repost the logs.

I do remember there was some discussion about the Freecom USB Stick having problems with some combinations of drivers. Try use the forum search.

The config panel shows that the logging level is already set to debug, but I've tried setting it to something else and then back again just in case there's some problem with the configuration files not updating.

Attached is the new set of logs, with the config.xml as well.

Searching was the first thing I did, but I could only find one mention of crashes during channel mapping, and the other Freecom-specific topics didn't seem to be relevant in this case. I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of registering with the forum if I had found anything that resolved my problem.

It might be an installation error of some sort.

I will try reinstalling GBPVR and see if that helps.

Thanks for your assistance anyway. I'll post back if I manage to find the cause of the issue.

To be honest I doubt it will help. I seem to remember a few of these Freecom USB Stick users have had problems. I'm sure something in the BDA drivers for this device doesnt like GB-PVR.
