When I'm watching video, whenever I try to fast forward (Ctrl-P, Ctrl->), GBPVR freezes up. (Goes Not Responding in Task Manager)

It's video that it had recorded a short while before.. Is there any way to fix this?

Reproduce the problem using ctrl->, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Are you using a PVR150? If so, there is a good chance this is caused by the PVR150 timestamp issue. The solution to this can be found here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006

I recently started having this same issue. I downloaded and installed the alpha software, made the registry changes, and rebooted. I have run a couple of short tests, and no change. GB-PVR or Windows Media Player both freeze if I try to fast forward the video.

Sounds like you've got something funny happening with the directshow decoders on your machine.

Thanks for the hint. I'm looking at microsoft.com to see if I can download the latest version of DirectX.

Its more likely to be third party (directshow) decoders installed by apps on your machine, rather than a problem with the directshow components that come with directx.
