Are you using most recent hauppauge drivers? When I tried to upgrade to newest drivers, my picture went black in live tv. I had to roll back a couple of driver versions to get things working again. I also lost audio on live tv. For me, the new driver from hauppauge was the culprit.

I am having the same problem, I have a Sapphire ATI 550 Theater and live tv works in PowerCinema 4.0 but I can't get it to work in GBPVR. All that I get is a black screen. I have done lots of reading to find out how to fix my problem because I want to use this software. I hope someone can help us.

Reproduce your problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. I dont think your problem will be caused by the same thing as this PVR150 user's problem.

Just one initial comment. The channel you tried to tune to in logs was channel 294. Are you sure that channel number is correct?

Yes I am using a bell expressvu satelite and that was a channel.

From what you've said above, and what is shown in your logs, you're using the RF-out from your bell expressvu satelite set top box, into the RF-in on your capture card? If so, then it'll be transmitting the current channel your set top box is tuned to, out through the RF connection to the ATI 550. When it does this, this current channel number is always the same, regardless of what channel you've got the set top box tuned to. Its usually CH2 or CH3, not CH294. Do you get what I mean?

I understand what you said, how can i get it to work then. That would probably explain why it isn't working. On my TV when I am using it regularly channel 2 3 and 4 don't show up. Is there a way to fix this.

I got the picture to work now.
I have another problem, I have the ATI card hooked up to the satelite box via coaxial cable. I can see all the channels from my satelite in the guide but I can't change the channel from GBPVR. Any idea how to do that?
