I have a WinTV150 MCE card, running on windows XP. Well, did not know the difference betwee winTV 150 and 150 MCE, so I hope I am not stuck now. Anyway, I was able to configure GB-PVR to capture TV fine, but just could not figure out how to capture from my Hi8mm camcorder. All I need is to convert/capture my Hi8mm tapes onto HD. I am using composite video inputs on the wintv150 mce card, but no matter how I twik "capture source" on gbpvr config, I get nothing!

Thanks in advance!

Its not really the best tool for this job. You're better off using the Hauppauge WinTV software

try Ulead's DVDMovieFactory...it can control the camcorder during capture so should be nicer to use..pretty sure it comes on the Hauppauge software cd even for the 150MCE..
[there is also a trial 30 day version available at ulead.com]
also you'll have to convert it afterwards if you want true hd format files.. [regular mpeg captures should be fine tho, your source isn't actually HD resolution]
hope that helps..i love DVDMF...it can even capture directly to dvd disk too! Smile

Finally I got winTV2000 and was able to do camcorder captures. I might give DVDMovieFactory a try later. Thanks!
