I was watching a live tv show and I hit the record button to record the show.

I then escaped out and went to the tv guide to see if it was listed as being recorded. When I scrolled down to the freeview (DVB) channels, ITV3 and BBC3 were the only ones listed, alternating one another with no tv shows listed.

I restarted recording service and gb-pvr, when i scroll backwards (up) from BBC1 to what should be the last freeview channel, I get "Object not set to an instance of an object".

I have emptied epg and downloaded again (for pvr-350 and nova-t usb2) but this hasn't fixed the problem.

Any ideas?
(This is sooo annoying having finally got everything working perfectly for the 1st time in 2 months) :-(

What version you running v0.94.12 or v0.94.13? There was a known problem like this in v0.94.12.

94.13 - sorry

I am thinking that trying to record a live tv show has added a rogue entry into the database somewhere?

I can't think what else could have caused the problem, it was perfect last night.

I have justed dumped the recordings db. this is the entry that I attempted to record from live tv

- <recording>
<filename>D:\temp\Tales from the Palaces_4_20051014_19001930.mpg</filename>
<channel>BBC FOUR</channel>
<status>READY</status>

<endTime>2005-10-14 19:30:00</endTime>

<subtitle>4/10. Sensitivities</subtitle>
<description>Curators have to tread carefully not to upset anyone as they stage exhibitions about Diana, Princess of Wales at Kensington Palace and controversial King George III at Kew. [S]</description>
<uid />
</recording>

[edit} don't know if this is any help but the web admin tv guide is also completely screwed up for the dvb channels.

All the dvb channels only show a few of the recordings available

maybe you have two or more channels assigned to the same channel number (tab page 'Channels' in the config app)?
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

yep that was it - thanks!!!

It appears that even the non-selected channels must have unique channel numbers.

Sorry Sub: I did change these channel numbers (on the channel tab) between it working and non-working.

I'll get my coat...
