Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the place as I'm talking about a plugin or maybe I should have used the wishlist threads...

Anyways, couple of nice tweaks to the SCAN option in the My Videos plugin...
The ability to collect tv shows info from TV.com and... something that will be a nice addition to the GetAllMovies util is the ability to collect the info from apple (where we actually getting the trailers...)

Cool

huh, it does collect info from tv.com right now. Just select F11 (I think), TV Information and episode browse.

I'm using 4.1.0.6 and F11 is taking me to the sub-menu just fine. 4.1.0.0 was the first version to use tv.com.

In order to for MyVideos to retrieve the information for television programmes correctly, how should the files be named?

Right now I have directories for each tv programme and the the episode number dash title, e.g. for the first episode of Charmed it is "001 - Something Wicca This Way Comes" but of course MyVideos doesn't know it is an episode of Charmed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this works really nicely with films.

Thanks

Is Paused Movies supposed to resume a video where you left off? If not, it would be a nice feature to have.

Got this figured out at the end... it seems that the naming convention should be: Charmed - 001 - the chapter's name.avi (for example).

However, it never actually worked for me (this way automatically). In the TV Information sub menu you can do an episode list or something and it will simply give you a list of all the season/episodes of charmed and then manually you chose the correct episode and it will fill in the rest.

Hmmm, that seems to half work - it gets the series info but not the episode info.

Thanks

it works best like
[Showname] - [season]x[epsidoenumber] - [epsiode name]
it will download the list of episodes from tv.com and try and find a match for the episode name (the episode name is everything after the last " - ") and if it doesnt find a match it will then use the season + episodenumber(from the first " - " to the next " - ") and find a match that way.

so an example of the best way to name these files is
Enterprise - 2x02 - Carbon Creek.avi

i wont even get started on your tastes in tv shows, charmed? wtf Tongue

So, whilst watching the latest episode of Charmed Rolleyes , I was renaming some video files to see if I could get it to download the info. It doesn't seem to matter how I name the files, it just downloads the basic series blurb. So, I've decided to try and have a stab at writing something myself. If anyone is interested I'll post my progress. I'm open to suggestions and advice and all will be greatly appreciated. I would like to say though that my having a go at writing this is in no way a slight on My Videos which is an excellent plugin.
