Have you clicked "fix hauppauge remote (with the correct number of buttons)" after you installed gbpvr? I think you need to do this every time you upgrade gbpvr.

I don't know how you have gbpvr configured to use the ir. To recap, there are 2 ways to control the remote:-
1. select "direct access to hauppague remote" in misc to have gbpvr control the device natively. 2. use the "fix" button to program the irremote.ini file with the correct settings and use the ir remote software supplied by hauppague to control the ir, using the settings from this file. Whenever you change settings, you have to restart the ir program to read in the new settings. I used to use the native option withe the 34 button remote supplied with the pvr-350 but i had to switch to using option 2 with the 45 button jobbie supplied wiith the nova-t usb2. hth

Thx, but I tried both settings and I got the same result. GBPVR comes with an application called ShowKey under KeyMappings that shows what buttons I press (on remote/keyboard). It only responds to the buttons that are working in gbpvr. Could that mean anything?

I found a way around the problem with HIP at http://www.byremote.com.au/Hip/mce_remote_faq.htm.

I don't get it.... Where does the MCE fit in to this?

My remote came with pvr 150 media center kit and is the same model that is shipped with some MCE computers. In order to use HIP, I needed to install an alternate driver that (I assume) is used in MCE computers.

Ah. That was not easy to read out from your original post. My advice above would not apply then, I guess.
