I am using a 150 with its IR blaster to control a Dish Network box. I updated to latest Hauppauge IR driver. I can change the channel using the remote by pressing in a number and hitting enter. The channel will also change when I press channel up/down. These now work very nicely. So it seems that fundamentally, there is no hardware problem and no problem with the Hauppauge IR-blaster software driver.
But when a recording starts, the channel does not change. I deleted my old recording source and made a new recording source and still no luck. Several versions back it had been working. I can try a clean reinstall if someone can point to the postings as to how to back up the database.
I also have the problem of not having the guide not be automaticall updated from the Zap2it listings. As I indicated elsewhere, I wonder if that is somehow related to the screensaver feature, as I think I noticed that problem creep up around the same time as the feature's introduction.
Any help would be appreciated.

Set the capture source to use the .exe channel changer, and point it at c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\HaupBlast.exe

No, it wont be related to that. They in different processes.

The most common causes are:

1) firewall getting in the way.
2) 3am seems a bit congested for zap2it, several people that had problems rectified it by shifting the update to a different time of day.

If you post the contents of your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log covering the time your update is scheduled to occur, then I'll be able to tell you for certain.

Thanks. I will try this at my earliest opportunity. Could you explain what it is about?

1) The only firewall I have is in the router. It is the same for a manual update, which works fine, and the automatic one, which was erratic. To minimize my problem I told GBPVR to download 2 weeks worth of data from zap2it, so I haven't had a problem yet, though I keep checking.

2) I have already changed from 3am. but did not find that to solve the problem.

As I said, post the contents of your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log covering the time your update is scheduled to occur and I'll take a look.

Initial test with changing to .exe channel changer and files\devnz\gbpvr\HaupBlast.exe resulted in a correct channel change. Tonight will be the real test, since I will rely on GBPVR to change the channel for a recording I care about.
I will also try and do the logs tonight.

Right now, I have the guide set up for 2 week downloads, and it seems to be staying full. If the problem recurs, I will send the logs.
