Should GBPVR control PC Volume?

I'm using new Hauppage 350 with 45 button remote. When I hit the volume buttons on the remote nothing happens, either in "Live TV" or while watching a recording. Is GBPVR supposed to control the volume on the PC?

I also started using USB-UIRT tonight and trained it for my RCA IP box without any problems. when i hit the volume buttons on the remote now I can see USB-UIRT flashing.

This is the normal behaviour for the USB-UIRT hardware.

I use the remote to control the system volume - I think if you go into irremote.ini and delete the volume mappings from the GB-PVR section at the bottom, it will revert to the default volume control mappings - ie system volume control.
