Failed recording. No errors in logs.

I've gone through the loads and loads of logs and have not been able to find any errors.
Here's the story...
I scheduled Hi-5 to tape as a reoccurring schedule.
On the 28th, it recorded correctly.
On the 29th, it reports in the Recordings page that it failed. But it did create the mpg file on the disk. Can't watch unless I move it to the video library. Which I have not yet.
On the 30th, it also reports that it failed. No mpg file on the disk.
But, I also tape DrPhil every day which was successful every day.
There was no other recordings scheduled for at least 2 hours both ends of Hi-5.
All my reoccurring recordings have a 3 min pre and 10 min post padding.
I have two PVR500s.
Why did Hi-5 failed but not Dr Phil. I have not rebooted at all and everything else at this stage has recorded successfully.

Why might this be happening?
I recently updated to the latest version on PVR.

It looks like it records it... do you have any plugins that might try to do anything to the recording afterwards? Or in PostProcessing.bat? Any "renameRecording" in there?

Nope, it was a fresh build of Windows with a fresh build of GBPVR 9413. I upgraded it recently to 9511. No plugins ever. What is "rename recordings"? All other recordings have worked OK so far...

RenameRecording is a utility that is installed with some of the plugins. It is called in PostProcessing.bat, after a show has been recorded, and might attempt to move (rename) the recording to an alternate location, depending on a certain set of rules (I have never used it, so I don't know exactly how and when it works). This could be used for automatic... eh... I don't actually know why they use it, but I'm sure it's for something nice =)
I just thought that if you had a call to RenameRecording in there, it might have done something funny to your file, since it doesn't exist anymore (at least not where you think it should be ;-))

Oh no, another problem. I recorded "the 4400" last night and went to watch it tonight. When I go to play and press the OSD, it says that it is only 0:12:32 long and yet the file itself is 2.1Gb in size. If I play it, it plays OK, but if I use skip forward, it jumps right to the end of the 0:12:32 but continues playing. Fast forward works OK but skipping does not. If I skip when it thinks it is at the end, the MVP reboots. What going on? :confused:

If it stops mid-recording, thats usually a pretty serious sign. GB-PVR effectively tell the drivers etc to start recording, and then doesnt do anything again until its time to tell it to stop recording. If it stops somewhere in between, this indicates the device stopped producing data. Most people that have had this have either had a problem with the device IRQ sharing with other hardware, or driver related problems.
