Just wondering which of these 2 remotes would work the best with gbpvr. Side note: I will need to controll 2 STB's and need an RF solution.
Side note#2: which hardware do you recommend to blast the IR signals to the stb's. (anything out there other than the usb-uirt?)
thanks.

As an inexpensive solution you can take a look at the Marmitek X-10 remote which does both IR & RF (I currently own the Niveous which almost identical). For $40.00 this baby contols my T.V. and other STB's via IR and with the help of Girder I control GBPVR via RF - My only wish is that I had more buttons to program Sad

Marmitek

More Specifically this PC remote

This is the remote I have which unfortunately is no longer available...Niveus "Universal & Learning" Media Center Remote

Well...the Niveus/marmitek are nice because they send both IR and RF, but since I have a usb-uirt, I can controll IR devices with that. And as I understand it GBPVR needs to do the channel changing anyway (can't be done directly) or it won't 'know' what channel is on. The Firefly is only 10$ more than the niveus, and it looks like it has a lot more buttons.
