Jeff:

Just so you know, Weather plug has been running just great for a couple of months now. Maybe they finally stopped playing with the site and causing you fits Smile

What i have noticed is they (MSN) have added some new headings or whatever they are called. What happens is i notice that the plug uses the unknown image more often than it used to.

Is this something that is user configurable? Meaning is there somewhere i can add an image for a weather condition that doesn't have one yet?
or
is it hard coded?

It would be a nice upgrade if the user was able to define this. Maybe in the skin so it could be different images for different themes.

Just a suggestion, either way it's one he** of a plugin and thanks

The mapping to weather types is hard coded. I have added a number of new ones in the latest release of the plug-in which I'll post tomorrow or the day after. I test against a dozen or so locations to try to get a broad array of messages.

If you look in the gbpvr.exe.log file, the plug-in logs a message whenever it finds a string it doesn't know. If you post what you have I will make sure they are in the list. I may move them to an external file in the future.

Jeff:

I got my first error for an unknown weather type today. I wanted to pass it along as requested.

Weather plugin Encountered unknown current weather type 'PM Wintry Mix'

A question, I know there are a couple of them would you rather get them as they occur or save for a bit and several or all at once?

Not the same issue but it fit the thread title.
Can you request a weather update from within the plugin? If not an update now button maybe on of the colored ones on the hauppauge remote or on the side menu.

Good work again Jeff.

Control R (the red button) will refresh (that is download from the Internet) the weather.

By the way, I still haven't had a chance to zip up and post the update. Work has been crazy. Maybe this weekend...

Jeff:

Got another unknown, that's two in the same day. if this keeps up will have found them all by tomorrow Smile

Weather plugin Encountered unknown current weather type 'Light Freezing Rain'

Maybe the program just doesn't want to report crappy weather, i never get unknown for warm and sunny Smile

I haven't posted the new version yet; it is just on my machine. I'll post a note here when I get the update on to the wiki.
