Hope someone can help me with this:

I get the following error whenever i try to play music using a USB-UIRT remote (its ok if i play using the mouse)

27/12/2005 17:44:56.687 VERBOSE [481] About to start playback of F:\leftfield - rhythm & stealth\[02] leftfield - phat planet.mp3
27/12/2005 17:44:56.687 VERBOSE [481] eventText= [02] leftfield - phat planet.mp3
27/12/2005 17:44:56.687 VERBOSE [481] type= CurrentAudioTrack
27/12/2005 17:44:56.687 VERBOSE [481] current audio track!
27/12/2005 17:44:56.687 ERROR [481] Unexpected error processing USB-UIRT input: Cannot invoke property set of 'URL' at this time.

If i then try to click a song using the mouse after ive tried using the remote i get an error message in GB-PVR saying:

"Error:Exception of type InvalidActiveXStateException was thrown"

Anyone know what its doing??

Thanks in advance

I havnt looked into why it is doing this, but I suspect you'll need to edit config.xml and set:

<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>

Unfortunately that worked a treat! I'll keep an eye out for a fix though!

How possible do you think it is to make use of 'Milkdrop' by Ryan Geiss:

http://www.nullsoft.com/free/milkdrop/

I notice the source code is available and wondered if it could be used without Winamp, or whether music could be sent through Winamp and the windowed visualisation made use of?

I thought I saw in the past that you could get a version of the milkdrop visualisations that is compatible with WMP. This would be the only way you could use it.

Just found it now!!

http://www.wmplugins.com/ItemDetail.aspx?ItemID=379

Its basicaly Milkdrop for WMP as most of the presets are credited to Geiss etc but it comes with a convertor to change any other Milkdrop files to .vbscript files.

Is the problem with using WMP common and likely to be looked at or is it something specific to my setup, cos id be gutted if i cant se these visualisations now!

I'm guessing its only people using the USB-UIRT as an input device.

I didnt want to use that, but the 350 confilcts with the 150MCE and stops the IR working.
I'll probably buy another 150 retail that should solve the problem.

I'll hold off that idea for a month or two to see if the issue is resolved before i commit another £75 quid to this.

Sub can you give me an idea as to whether this issue with the USB-UIRT would be on the todo list or not?
