Hi

Does anyone notice after a couple of days of uptime that their audio/video sync goes out??

I find that, and if I leave it for a week, all video taken off the composite cable comes out fuzzy.

A quick reboot normally sorts everything out though.

You may be running out of available memory, running hot, or getting huge log files the way some people get. Any would eat up enough of your system to make keeping sync hard to do.

Hmm, could be hot, and memory. Makes sense. Just checking there wasn't some software fix I could do.

Might have to keep up the reboots.

That's like saying if your car keeps overheating, it just means you'll need to stop more often and add water. You can do that, but fixing it would be better. Any of the problems I mentioned can be.

Since rebooting (assuming you use right after) fixes it, heat is less likely (it would still be hot). Next time, check your available space and free memory when it acts up.

Free space should be fine, memory would be interesting to look at. It's got 512, but no mvp. But some of the plugins I run are fairly memory intensive.

If you had one of those freakish log files some people end up w/ somehow (getting in the 50Mb+ range) that may slow you down, too.

got a PVR-150 non mce.

No I don't seem to have the big logs. If memory a symptom I'm guessing that.

What driver are you using for the PVR-150?

Not the latest I know that. Hmm, might have been the one to come on the disk. So they'd be pretty old.

How "safe" is updating the drivers on these things? I think I tried it right after I got it, and wasn't impressed with the results, and I think it caused other problems.
