channel ordering in guide

Is it possible to re-order the channels in the guide ?
Mine are all over the shop and it would be dandy if I could impose some sort of order ...

You can change the channel number in the main channels tab in the config app. This is the only way.

Ahh.
I just tried that - changed the number of a few channels. (and forgotten the original channel numbers).

Reloaded the EPG and I have lost all but two of my channels. It also displays several (empty) channels repeatedly.

Bugger.

I had spent hours matching the channels to the epg and getting the icon names right.

Now it's all gone.

How can I erase gbpvrs knowledge of all the channels it has ever tuned to, and all the epg, without erasing other config ?

The easiest way would be to 'export recordings', then delete the gbpvr.mdb file, which will cause msi installer to recreate it. This will effectively delete your capture sources, channels, programs, recordings. Then 'import recordings' to get back your list of 'ready' recording. You are then effectively starting from fresh.

You will need to recreate your season recordings etc following this advice, but it will retain config for plugins, recording directories, video decoders etc.

Oh another question - once I reinstall and setup my channels, and setup the epg and match the channels to epg entries and get the icon names right etc etc - what do I backup so that I don't lose everything again ?
