Yes, you probably can use the MCE IR Blaster, but you'll need to use the (free) third party software HIP.

I havnt personally tried it, since I'm on Telstra Clear cable tv.

do you need to set the ir/blaster to send signals channel or something?
also when do you think you will have your MCEIRBlaster on GBPVR channel changing dropdown list working?
have you seen anyone get this working?

There is a bug with the built-in MCE2005 ir blaster channel changer (which was only added in the last release) that stops it working, so you'll need to use HIP. This uses the GB-PVR .exe channel changer pointing to a HIP .exe

you can't read minds? Big Grin

i mean if you choose the channel changer as .exe.
and then go down to the parameters box. what is that boxes purpose?
is it the command that is sent to hipsend.exe?

Yes, the parameters box that defines what parameters are sent to the to the .exe you select. You can send any parameters you want to the .exe, just enter them in the box. If you enter {channel} somewhere in that line, it'll be replaced with the channel number.

I've never used HIP or hipsend, so I cant give you any more details on that end of things. Several other users here have used it though.
