I have seen mention of this here and there in different threads not relating to this issue specifically and thought a thread dedicated to this problem could be helpful.

Has anyone who experienced the problem of the visualization not starting when the GBPVR screensave kicked in resolved the problem on their system? IF so, how did you correct it?

I have an AMD 2500XP and notice the CPU usage peaks at 100% from time to time. Is there a setting which is visually appealing to reduce the CPU usage?

Thanks

I did as others have posted by disabling the screensaver in the config.xml file but I think that Sub has this fixed in the version he is working on. Or at least one of his posts said that his works fine so I assume that this is resolved.

as for a screensaver I just left it on random as there are too many to choose from Smile

Thanks DC,

I will have to try that later. I was under the impression that it worked for some and not others. (Sub being one of the ones it worked for). I was concerned that it worked for some and not others. SO I thought that if others would post more specifics that we could all figure out what is preventing the visualization from kicking on with the systems with issues.

So when you disable it in the config.xml, I assume you no longer have the screen saver kicking in at any time? Then the visualization works only in the small inset box?

I'll play with it a little more.

What's the 'inset box' everyone refers to?

In the main-menu sub-folder of the skin you are using it is in the skin.xml file.
You can enable the visualization to open up based on the size and location of your choosing.

I have this for my BlueMCE2. It positions the visualization window to the right of the main menu w/o disabling the task images.

<SpecialElement name="Inset" loc="550,155" size="150,150"/>

Its just a bug in v0.95.16 that stops the visualizations kicking in with the screen saver. It'll work again for you in the next release.

That is correct, I no longer have the screensaver.

It works in the the inset box but I can also maximize to full screen by left mouse clicking Smile
