Cannot get DivX with Plextor M402u

I can get MPEG2 recording but I am unable to get DivX recording. I get 0 byte files when I try to record in DivX. I have WinDVD Creator installed. this my log file.

Hello,
My m402u works reasonably reliably, and my GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log log file looks the same as yours (except for a longer gap between starting and stopping recording!). What does your other recording service log say?

i manually stop the recording since the red light on the M402u does not glow. when you say the other log could you pls be more specific.

GB-PVR says it is recording but the recording status says "Capture Source #1 sleeping ". When I watch live tv it is getting the divx stream since the divx icon shows up in the taskbar.

Have you tried reinstalling the plextor m402u drivers? Previously I had problems with my m402u unit, but after I reinstalled the drivers it worked fine again. Also, you should check for bandwidth hogging devices on the same usb 2.0 bus the m402u is using. For my machine I only have MCE "ehome transciever" connected to the same bus as my plextor unit.

I have installed the drivers and windvd creator on my computer. there is no other USB device connected except the M402u. I can use VirtualDub to capture in DivX but cannot get GB-PVR to caputre in divx. GB-PVR only captures in mpeg. no when i watch live tv it is not streaming in divx anymore after i re-installed gbpvr. but when i want to record no luck.

Hi, I meant there are two logs in the gbpvr directory - the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log. You posted the details of a recording from the -native log, so I wondered if the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log might give more help.

You could also try the m402u in different ports. For some reason mine only works in the front panel USB ports on my shuttle. Funny thing is that if you were having problems there, your MPEG2 would suffer much more than DIVX.
