Just recently acquired a Pinnacle MediaCenter 310i and due to the dreadful software decided to give GBPVR a go. I managed to get the installation sorted fairly easily (including updating the bda.ini to recognise the drivers) but the resulting picture is unwatchable. The video signal is unstable almost as if there is no video sync (not sure if right terminology). I have had a play around with the various settings (including de-interlace) to no avail. I am new to this, so am I missing something obvious?

Can you provide a screenshot of the picture?

By the look of that, I'd have to guess its something to do with your video decoder. Also worth trying Overlay instead of VMR.

Overlay mode makes no difference (although when exiting I get the error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.). Not sure what to do about Video decoder.

It could also be the drivers for your video card. It looks like its going wrong at the rendering stage.

It was CyberLink Video/SP Decoder, now tried out Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder and everything seems to be fine. I guess I should experiment with others to see what works best (doesn't work with Pinnacle decoder that came with the card). Ta for pointing me in the right direction.

I just got a Pinnacle PCTV 310i. I installed the Pinnacle Media Center and the Software is too "heavy" for my EPIA VIA 1GHz computer.
I am trying to configure GB-PVR for my card.
Could you please attach or post the section for Pinnacle 310i in the BDA.ini and other configuration files?

OK I already got the Pinnacle card working with my EPIA and GB-PVR.
I like it a lot. Thanks for this Software.
