I'm getting the following error every time my epg updates, and it's causing the guide to simply not update...although gbpvr continues to run fine.

"Failure in channelfactory:Confusedtorechannel(); invalid argument."

That's the error exactly as it displays. Anyone?

Sounds like you copied a GBPVR.MDB from a previous version onto you current release. This file is not portable between versions.

hmm...i haven't changed anything i can think of though, it just started doing it one day. If I just re-install over my current version, would that handle it?

If you deleted you gbpvr.mdb, it create an empty one of the correct version.

I had same error...not sure if I fixed it, if zap2it fixed it, or what happened....

I upgraded my version of xmltv libraries, and also cleared out my capture source and channel list, then recreated it. A few zap2it downloads later, the loading into gbpvr was working again. Not sure why...maybe zap2it was giving bad data.

Also, I noticed if I switched from xmltv plugin to the zap2it plugin the load went ok, but for various reasons I prefer the xmltv plugin.

this wouldn't affect my current recordings database in any way, right?

By the way...still loving this software since the day I found it!! Awesome stuff.

Yes it will. You'll effectively be starting with an empty recording database. While this might not be ideal, it'll be better than a broken, non-working database.

You could try doing an export/import recordings before/after to allow you to at least keep your 'ready' recordings. Its\ might not be possible with your database in a brokem state, but worth a shot.

I went ahead and installed your latest version over the top of my '95 version and it seemed to have fixed it. I did a manual epg update and it went through. Only thing is only one of my re-occuring recordings has scheduled new recordings...my other two haven't set up a scheduled recording in like 3 weeks, and I'm pretty sure they have had episodes in that time.
