I think I broke my setup

I surfed around the forums a bit, but couldn't find anything along these lines. I have my HTPC running like a CHAMP and to put the final touch on GBPVR today I changed to the ContourHC skin. I have the latest build of gbpvr, latest drivers for both my vid card and my wintv card. Everything was working fine until I switched, now..

I can watch Live TV just fine, and can timeshift. But when I go to record a show then watch another, it says I don't have a tuner available to watch Live TV. I have wiped out all tuners, restarted teh machine, and reinstalled. I am installing the first tuner as a PVR500 w/FM, and the second one as without. I have tried making them both w/FM and just PVR500's, still can't get it to surf the second channel. I changed back to the Blue skin but honestly I don't see where the skin would effect any of this. I can go into the FM Radio and listen to music so I know it see's at least the tuner with the FM, but I can't figure out why it suddenly won't see the other. Any ideas?

Okay I have done the registry wipe and tried the shspvr drivers, still no luck. If I set the 1 capture source to just pvr500 and the second w/FM, I can get it to record and then watch live tv, except the recorded channel shows up as a zero file size. If I swap the capture sources, then I record just fine, and if I go to live tv it shows a blank screen but I can hear the sound from the channels. If I change the channel though, that changes the channels on the recorded bit when I go back and look at it. I have read through all instances of the pvr-500 issues on here and mine issue sounds alot like a couple other threads, they ended in folks sending their logs to Sub but wasn't any resolution, and i would be happy to her how those stories ended to hopefully correct my issue.

Have you tried doing a XP system restore?

I feel your pain. I had problems after I purchased the 500 and it ended up being that the pin from the cable was not sticking out far enough to make a good contact with the post it screwed into.
Then, after a reformat (my yearly pain) I had problems with both the original and shspvr's drivers, I simply kept removing and adding tuners until it just worked. That doesn't make sense but that's what I had to do.

I went back to the original restore point first..I hate to do it again in under 2 weeks time but I think the only way to find out if this is software related or the card freaked out is a full on wipe and reload. I'll let you know my findings, any other suggestions are welcome

Wow..well I wiped out gbpvr hoping to avoid the dreaded reload...clean teh reg and started over. It is working like a champ once more. Sub I tell ya if I can ever con some business here in DC to hiring me again, you are getting a fat donation from me for this great software.
