Is there a way to schedule a recording from the Internet using Net Radio and MediaMVP?

No, not currently.
http://www.highcriteria.com/ It captures the output from your soundcard and should be able to record anything your pc plays. I use it a lot. Well worth the $11 it costs. Oh and you can schedule recordings as well. Not quite GB-PVR but a good addition to your pvr if you listen to a lot of radio. Oh and dump the recorded file into the same recordings folder as gb-pvr music library and you can play it via MVP.

I have a plugin that i've written that does it, that was working.
I need to learn about threading properly and then i can release it. It seems to work and I've been recording a denmark based radio program on friday mornings here (thursday night over there).

We'll all be waiting eagerly for that plugin...I know I will..

yeah I'll get off my butt and finish it. Was actually the first plugin I started, but others have got in front of it.
I've got a big release for one of my others coming hopefully this week, so I;ll get on to it after that.

I had tried a couple of other better known and higher-priced software recorders, but the didn't work at all well for me. Thanks.

The other one is streamripper, a command line based program. REally easy to schedule just within windows scheduler. And has pretty good track detection.

That maybe more to do with my hardware and setup. Total recorder has never failed to capture a good stream in whatever format I want. It does what I want and does it well and for my money thats more inportant than all the bells and whistles other apps may come with. |
