like the topic says. I was watching an .avi movie and paused to go make coffee. When i came back and hit play there was no audio
I restarted GBPVR and tried again, still no audio. Closed it and watched the rest of the movie in media player classic.

Since then I have removed gbpvr (uninstall +manually deletion of the whole folder), reinstalled it, reinstalled audio drivers, reinstalled directX, reinstallled dotnet framework 1.1 and 2.0, even reinstalled chipset drivers. Still no audio in GBPVR Sad

Audio works with every other application, I tried different output settings with winamp like directsound, wave and changed every setting around to try to recreate the problem in other applications but it just works.

I couldnt find any help in the other audio-problem-threads so i had to create a new one. Please help, I dont want to install MCE Sad

reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I suddenly have sound in music files. Live TV and video files are still silent.

I have reinstalled everything except windows, i hate to think that would be necessary. Can't figure out how all the sound could dissapear after a simple pause, gbpvr has been working great since august 2005 when i started using it Sad

I tried editing my FFDshow settings as well and reinstalled every codec. That made no difference. I also tried installing a Creative PCI soundcard to use that as default system sound hardware, that made every application play audio through that one (as expected) except GBPVR which is still completely silent.

just a shot in the dark...
have you tried to delete the registry-key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\devnz\LastVolume

and start gbpvr again?

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Oh my god. It worked!

This was actually the first thing I did when I encountered the problem and searched the forums, back then it didnt do any difference. Now the regkey was back and I simply deleted it again.

I guess it was a combined problem with this and something any of all the other measures I've taken already fixed.

Thanks!

Alternatively you could have just press the volume-up key while watching video.

do you think it's possible that you pressed the mute button - done this before!

I dont have a hauppauge remote, my volume control on the remote is directly linked with the system main volume control. It wasn't muted, i tried that (like 5 times) Smile
