How would I go about setting the EPG using DishNetwork, where the tuner needs to be on channel 73, and the dish network tuner does all the work?

I tried adding just one channel (73) in the main config. I used Zap2it to configure the guide, but of course I cannot select a channel from the guide.

ideas?

Thanks,
...Thomas

Im on my first brew and my posts dont always make sense at this time of morning but....

When you have a Set Top Box doing all the tuning/chanel changing, you need to go to the Config for your Capture source, enter the 'Recording source' settings, and set the 'Source' to 'Fixed Channel/External Tuner', and then set the 'Constant Channel' to 73.

Then set up the EPG in the usual manner with all your channels, rather than just the one channel tuned to 73.

If you're doing this though, you need an IR blaster so that GBPVR can change the channel on the STB when you select a channel to watch from your EPG.

I'm using the Software recorder plugin, and I dont have those options for my recording source.

Im using a BT-878P capture card, which I believe is a generic for the WinTV card. (same chipset)

The software plugin does have a 'Constant Channel' option. Just change it from blank to 73.

You still need an IR blaster so that GBPVR can change the channel on the STB when you select a channel to watch from your EPG.
