Hi all,

I am new to this, just bought a new PC with an ATI TV Wonder eLite adapter. I added this part to my system because I wanted to play around with the PVR stuff.

So, I have the software installed an working, but for one thing. I can't get the gbpver to set the channel to 73. The DN-DVR has a second tuner and is set to 73. All the TV's that connect to this tunner needs to have their tuner set to 73 to pickup the signal.

Has anyone run into this and if so, how did you get it to work?

These DN STB with the two TV output and remotes are becoming a real pain. I liked DirecTV and their STB's 10 times better.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

in config, capture source settings, for source, select 'fixed channel, external tuner' and set 73 as the source channel...
that should do the trick..
now changing the channels,i'm not sure if that's possible if it only uses a rf remote..Smile
[but i think you can tune it with the other remote]
Cheers

Thanks for the response. But I have capture source settup this way and all I get is a black screen.

Is there a way that I can tell if it is on channel 73? When I when I run the tunner test it tells and shows me that channel 73 works.

Thanks again,

Mike

Have you been able to pickup that channel in any other application? Or in the Tuning Assistant?

The tuning assistant and I had MCE working before I removed it from my system. It was the vendor build, I can't stand vendor builds.

Sorry, thats not clear. Are you saying you could find the correct channel using the Tuning Assistant?

Yes, the tuning assistant found channel 73 as the channel to tune too. I allow so had MCE working on channel 73 before I rebuilt the system.

If it worked in the Tuning Assistant utility, then it should also work in GB-PVR assuming your capture source has the country settings etc, and you have an MPEG2 decoder installed.

I think so, can you help me check this out.

Sonic Solutions DLA 5.x
Application
Release Title: Application: Sonic Solutions DLA 5.x, Application, Windows XP, Multi Language, Multi System, Roxio DLA 32bit v5.2
Release Date: 7/28/2006
Criticality: Recommended
Description: Drive Letter Access (DLA) is a utility that gives you the ability to copy files directly to recordable CD and DVD discs. Using DLA, you can drag-and-drop files to a disc and make the disc compatible with almost any Windows computer

Does this App have the MPEG driver or do I need something else to install?

I will look on afterdawn.com for a MPEG filter.

I dont know - I've never heard of it. It doesnt sound like the sort of app that would include a MPEG2 decoder. They're usually installed with DVD software like WinDVD or PowerDVD. They're often also installed with software that came with the user's capture device.
