My patience is wearing thin with Microsoft Windows. Over the past two weeks I've been painfully reinstalling Windows XP SP2 and ,as a result, I'm tired. Does GBPVR support Macintosh or Linux Operating Systems? It would be superb it it does.Cool

GBPVR will run on a VM under Parallels on a Mac ... I run a Win2K VM on my intel based Macbook (no hardware video unfortunately) as a client to my windows based server.

Not to take away from the fact what you did is cool, but that's still running windows, isn't it?

May I ask why do you reinstall so often?

There are ways of making slipstream install disks that will install all updates and software packages in one fell swoop. It makes the reinstall much faster...

Given that there are still some bugs to work out with Vista and GB-PVR, I will be with XP for a while...

I'm surprised you have to ask. :-)

I agrre with zehd, once you've got a stable hardware platform take images of you machine in various stages of build, before device drives, before video driver, before gbpvr and auxcillary applications. And then a weekly backup.

For imaging I use and recommend Acronis TrueImage.

I have a win 2k machine that hasn't had a re-install for over 5 years. It is used nearly everyday for a few hours a day, so all this crap about windows not being stable, is just that. I have a xp machine with gbpvr that gets restarted once a month due to xp updates and thats it. So either you have an hardware issue in which case it doesn't matter what OS you use, or there are driver/software issues with your set up.

I stopped asking myself 'why?' along time ago. Still love asking others....
