First of all thanks for a brilliant piece of softwareSmile Smile
Got This up and running in no time flat well cool.
I have a question though is it possible to have GBPVR boot the PC in time to start a scheduled recording?

Yes, it does try to do this, but does depend on your PC being able to wake up at the time GB-PVR asks it to.

you need to configure your windows power settings to go into standby or hibernate after x mins. I prefer standby as the pc wakes up quicker. Hibernate consumes slightly less power.

set the pre-pad minutes in gbpvr config to take into account how long it will take the pc to wake up fully.

How is it possible to automatically boot from a hibernated state? I know there are different meanings of hibernate and standby, but when my computer goes into hibernate, it writes its memory to the harddisk and mostly shuts down. So if programs running in memory are stored to the harddisk, what is left running that tells the computer to restart? Is a daemon left running in memory that sets the computer to come out of hibernate when the internal clock hits a certain time?

GB-PVR calls a Windows API to tell the PC to wake at a certain time. The API then writes some ACPI wake up event entries into a special table that the PC always monitors, even when the machine is hibernated. When that time is reached, the PC wakes the machine.

There is no program or daemon actively running, but rather a wake up event registered with the PC for a specific time.

I think it wakes via the motherboard Real Time Clock chip alarm function. If it doesn't wakeup check the BIOS settings for "RTC Alarm" or similar.
