I have a problem with the TV Guide. I'm using Zap2IT and for some reason on certain shows, I get an overlap on the same channel.

For instance today my schedule is set to record Invasion. In reality it is from 9:00pm - 10:00pm. But when I look up my pending shows is shows up twice. one at 9:02pm and one at 9:03pm

So I look at my TV Guide and yep it's there twice with the first just being a thin line before the second duplicate.

Is there any way of fixing this? Or if I reload GBPVR, is there a way to preserve my schedules?

I just noticed that the show before ends at 9:02pm. So could the rare instance of a show being a little longer than usuall cause the following show to duplicate itself?

Do you have the 'complete EPG reload' option enabled?

Was Invasion scheduled as a one-off recording, or part of season recording?

If that's for 2/8/06- the program before it, my fav, LOST, is 1 hour and 2 minutes (or 1 hour 3 minutes depending on what guide you look at). Don't know why but it was even mentioned in the local paper that it was a few minutes longer. So, Invasion is starting later. My guide correctly has the times for both listed.

My EPG is set to do a full reload and this is a season record in weekly time slot.

Being that pcostanza said Lost was 1:02 and 1:03 in 2 guides and the fact that my TV Guide shows both Invasions at the minute offsets, it would seem that Zap2It included both.

I guess we need the logic that if 2 shows overlap in the guide on the same channel, that they would be added to the conflicts page. Or have the second be deleted if it has the same title and say 90% of the duration of the other.

I noticed the same thing a few weeks ago, BrainStormer, but mine was actually showing a conflict between the Invasion at 9:00 and the Invasion at 9:03. Then I got a 2nd tuner and damned if it didn't record one of them on one and the later on the other. LOL. I cancelled the one at 9:03 and then reset the season recording to be "this channel, this timeslot" for 9:00.

Now since I have a show on a different channel recording, the same tuner has to record Lost then Invasion and the first 2 or 3 minutes of Invasion is at the end of the Lost recording. Lost doesn't really run long, ABC is just screwing with us again by messing around with the time slots.

I can only guess Zap2it is just trying to cover their ass by 'scheduling' Invasion twice so hopefully everyone gets what they want. Smile

Have had this problem with xmltv (Radio Times), one program with 3 different start times, 10.45,10.55 & 11.00.

The EPG reload option is ticked but made no difference.
I tried the commandline -onlyemptyepg, but this made no difference either. When I deleted the program from reocurring recordings & then tried the commandline followed by epgupdate it corrected it.

What I don't like is that is ties up 2 tuners, I don't mind missing a couple of minutes of a show, but if I have a second show I want to record and it gets bumped out of a tuner, I'd be bummed.
