Dear all,

After installing the latest version, GBPVR has decided not to download the full TV listings from the DVB EPG. This feature always used to work with the previous version.

Is there anywhere I can download previous versions of GBPVR? I think the version I am after is the one when DVB EPG downloading was supported (around October-November 2005?).

Thanks for your help,

Oliver.

Is that the EPG for UK Freeview ?, if so, there has been various problems with it in recent days.

the dvb epg can be very flakey at the best of times.

Many dvb users (including myself) use either the built in bleb or alan birtles xmltv downloader

Old versions wont help you. You'll find there is some character in one of the show names or descriptions that is included in the DVB EPG that GB-PVR doesnt like. The old version was based on the same code and will most likely have the same problem. The next version is better able to cope with strange characters.

Thanks for the replies. It's odd, because before I updated, I got the full listings for everything, with no problems. Now I only get about 5 out of 30 channels.

Anyway, I look forward to the next version.

Thanks,

Oliver.

Just out of interest, is there any way I can download the previous version that first supported EPG broadcasts - just to see if it does makes a difference?

Thanks a lot,

Oliver.

I tried to use BLEB today (Which used to work) - but I still get the same problem! Only a few channels show the listings - even after I clear them and refresh them. It seems that there is something wrong with the database. CAn anyone help?!!!

Thanks
Oliver.

Are you sure that the channel names that you have configured EXACTLY match those in the first field of the bleb-channels.xml file?

e.g. BBC ONE is not the same as BBC 1 or BBC1

Well - I would agree if it actually worked as well as it did before I upgraded!! But now it doesn't, which is very annoying. Half the channels just don't have the data - there are massive gaps in the TV guide, where there were no gaps just last week before I upgraded. There must be some sort of problem with the software - what other problem could it be?

Please please please can someone humour me and tell me if they have a copy of one of the older versions - the one I'm after is the first version to support DVB EPG listings. I'm sure I will stand corrected, but until then, I can't help but think it's simply a problem with the new version...
