Nothing major, but I have a few small MVP annoyances. Maybe this has already been addressed:

1. The MVP goes into its' screen saver and you decide to power off. When you power back on, your back in the screen saver but the remote control doesn't do anything. Pressing any key (other than power), makes the GBPVR logo jump around, but that's about it. Powering off and on via the remote seems to bring it back to the menu and it starts working again.

2. Warm starting the power (via remote) bring you to the main menu, but I've seen that the first keypress is normally ignored.

3. Any way to type in the "search" on the MVP remote? I have the option for the remote to act like a mobile phone entry, but that doesn't seem to work. How (or do you) type in "search" for the MVP remote?

I'm guessing you're running the MVP server manually rather than setting the auto run servers in the config app? You should be using the auto run method.

Yeah, this is a annoying, but I've not been able to work out why. I dont think the Hauppauge software is sending me this first keypress.

No, not using the built in stuff. You can only do a first letter search and then page up/down through the results.

Nope, I'm using the auto-start (set to 1 since I'm only using 1 MVP right now). A quick power off/on via the remote cures it every time it gets into that funk.

One other oddity about the MVP server app. I usually get the app minimized on my screen if I logon my PC while the MVP is off. If I leave myself logged off the PC and play something on the MVP, then the server app isn't visible when I do logon.

Would really be nice if it was really a service instead of an app repositioned off the screen.

Thanks for the info about typing. I thought it was just me wondering how I'd do that. Maybe a future MVP feature? If rapidly pressing a button 3 times to get the third letter would be too slow on a MVP, perhaps maybe a combination like:

RED+number (or number by itself) = 1st letter
GREEN+number = 2nd letter
YELLOW+number = 3rd letter
BLUE+number = 4th letter

If you go into the control panel -> administrative tools -> services, then view the settings for the GBPVR Recording Service and uncheck the 'allow service to interact with desktop' then you shouldnt see this window again.
