Hello,

I am having problems getting the configuration to recognize my Hauppauge WinTV USB2. I looked on the forums and only saw Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2, but mine doesn't say pvr. I went ahead and tried many of the suggestions and nothing has worked. This is what I have: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_usb2.html. I get an error that no known cards are detected. Any suggestions?

I'm fairly sure this device will not function with GB-PVR. Sorry.

I just set this device up and I had to change the settings in the direct.ini file to reflect the name that windows gives the device. I believe the issue is caused by the latest version of the device drivers reporting a slightly different name than earlier versions.
I found this fix on another post but I don't remember where, sorry

(watch the number 2 in the name of the device)

hope this helps,

I'm fairly sure he was talking about the WinTV USB2, which is the non-PVR version - without the required MPEG2 encoder hardware. This wont work with GB-PVR.
