Well, Ive finally got this set up so it recognises my card, but when i try to go to live tv, i get audio from whatever channel im tuned to, and nothing but a black screen. If i try to tune to a station from the guide or tune to a recording (still dont know if the recording actually has video), it seems to hang at the screen b4 it should go to video, but there is still audio. The oddest part is that the tuning assistant has no problem displaying any video. My config file is included. Please let me kno if you need any other information or have any ideas. Thank you in advance.

I set a recording to see what would happen, when attempting to play back the recording in gb-pvr, I get the same problem, the video hangs at the screen w/ the last button i pressed and i had audio. Controls seem to be working correctly as well, i can ff and rw the audio. I opened the recording with windvd and it worked flawlessly. Is it possible I'm missing some codec or is there anything that would prevent only gbpvr from displaying video?

In the config app, what is selected in the 'video decoder' setting, and what options do you have listed?

System Default and Intervideo Decoder are the only ones in there and ive tried both, tho im pretty sure they both use the intervideo one... But like i said, WinDVD played the recording alright and that would be using the same decoder correct?

It looks like the problem is some how related to the video decoder. All I can suggest is installing and trying another one.

Loki, I know exactly what it is!
I have the Sapphire Theatrix (Theater 550 Pro) and had no problems with my live TV in other programs like SageTV and the Cyberlink software that came with the card. Then I tried GBPVR and it only showed video when I was recording. I tried every video decoder option I had available, not to mention checked tons of forums, but then found the problem myself.
In the last tab in the Config (MISC) I changed the BDA Multiplexer to "Cyberlink" and it worked right away!!!

I'm sorry, but that is just not correct. This multiplexer setting is only used when performing recordings on digital cards. The Sapphire Theatrix is an analog card.
