I have a wintv-150 when I record something and play it back later I get sound. I just don't get sound from liveTV and from DVD's. Is there a setting some where that will take care of this problem? I also have WinTV2000 installed and that app. gives me sound from liveTV. Sound works from DVD from other app.s like VLC.

any help would help. thanks

Its probably the decoder being used that is causing the problem.

Reproduce the error, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log file.

it seems that I have 4 different versions of the same file. I'm guessing that that not right ??

anyway here is the file(s)

by the way I have 4 config.exe-native.log's also if that makes a diff.

Thats normal. It always keeps the last four logs files.

You didnt actually try to view a DVD in those logs. Try again, then post the logs immediately afterwards.

15:49:28.442 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
15:49:28.442 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
15:49:28.442 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
15:49:28.442 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
15:49:28.442 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge
15:49:28.442 VERBOSE - DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder

15:49:28.442 VERBOSE - DVD Navigator
Those decoders arnt able to play DVDs. You need to have installed something like WinDVD or PowerDVD, then select the appropriate decoders on the DVD tab of the config app.

No, this does not install Directshow DVD decoders.

It doesnt have to be those two - there are other ones such as nvidia etc.

OK so now dvd's work, but I still can't get .avi files to play. I have audio but no picture. yet again it will play fine in VLC. At one time I was able to do this. now it won't play .avi files and transcode will not work?

what did I do to this thing?
