Ever since the latest upgrade I've been having a problem with my MCE remote, it seems to double-punch everything I push. For example, If I push up... it'll go up two spots instead of one. If I push the button REALLY quick then it seems to work. My guess is that there is supposed to be some kind of delay that forces the receiver to wait before it accepts another command but it doesn't seem to be doing that. Is there a setting for this somewhere or was it changed in the update? Anyone else having this problem?

this can happen if your using something like hip or girder to catch your remote functions and control your apps and at the same time have set 'mce remote' as your remote in gbpvrs config app.

IF you are using HIP/Girder, then set GBPVR config to 'default hauppauge' and see if this helps

If you're not using those type of programs then im not sure, sorry.

Post some more info on your setup and maybe your logs too and someone else might have an idea...

I'm not using HIP or Girder and neither are installed on my system. My setup is pretty basic, XP Pro running latest version of GBPVR with a MCE 2005 remote and receiver. Like I said, it worked fine before the upgrade. Would any logs actually record info about the remote?

It'll log keys in gbpvr.log when it doesnt find an assiciated mapping for the keypress.

like this:

26/03/2006 18:50:16.203 VERBOSE [2] No key mapping found for: ^O

Might not help you track your problem down but you never know...

Yeah do some tests then post the gbpvr.exe.log with commentary on what you did in the test.

I'm using the MCE 2005 remote on XP Pro, and havnt seen the problem. I also havnt seen any other reports of this.

Here is a log file. I loaded up GVPVR... selected TV guide then hit down twice (in which it went down 4 spots). Then I hit right twice (it just went two spots). Then I hit select (it selected the program and quickly exited it, hence two clicks). Let me know if you can see anything in this log file, I didn't notice anything odd.

Hmmmm... Well, I guess I'll try using HIP to control the remote and see if that works. I'll let ya know. Thanks for checking the log.

I'm having the same problem when running HIP. It seems that both HIP and GBPVR are recognizing the remote signal and executing it, resulting in the action happening twice.
How can I stop GBPVR from recieving the remote signals? I'm using newest Hauppauge MCE remote (all the way to the right on this page http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardware/MCERemotes). I've tried setting GBPVR to MCE and Hauppauge remote, but neither fixes the problem.
When HIP is not running, the remote works like it should. HIP does a better job of recognzing the remote though, so I want to use it.

I've never used HIP, but I'm guessing you should leave Remote Type setting in the GB-PVR Config app set to "Default (Hauppauge)" when using HIP.
