I am thinking about moving from myth to gbpvr but I have some questions before I make the move. I keep having lockup issues on myth and in lots of reading, no the only person. I have a P2.8 with 1 gig of ram and a seagate 200 gig hard drive ATA. The video card is a nvidia 5200 with 128 MB of RAM. It has a single haugpage PVR 250 that I use that remote for. I have Directv and currently have this IR blaster to change the channels on my external reciever.

_http://www.irblaster.info/

My main ? is can I still use this to change channels or do I need something else to control the directv reciever? Anyone else using directv that can direct me to the easiest way to get the haugpage remote to work with directv?

Thanks in advance

I seem to remember that some other users have used this blaster with WinLIRC (http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/). The general idea is, you need to setup your GB-PVR capture source to use the .exe channel changer, and point it at the winlirc executable, and specifiy the appropriate command line parameters for your device.

Wow, thanks for the fast reply and not a flame! Got a few of those on other forums when trying to setup the myth box. Will give Winlirc a shot and see how it goes.
